Enjoy a 3-days romantic break around Lysos area, which is well known for its scenic views, adventurous trails, and exotic wildlife, while at the same time being a quiet place for a peaceful holiday.
The package includes accommodation in a tipi to add some value to the adventure, picnics, candlelit dinners and 3 full days of horse riding.
Riding in Lysos sourrounding areas is unbeatable. The variety of terrain is fascinating – volcanic, pine clad mountains, sheep and goat grazed plains, citrus orchards, almond groves and vineyards, hills and valleys, mountain and sea views. Some of the rides pass through the old deserted Turkish villages. Suitable to all paces and levels of riders.
Horse riders can be of all standards as leaders can be provided. Participants will learn the correct riding position and how to steer and control their horse. They will ride for two hours in breathtaking mountainous countryside.
Your schedule will be as follows:
Day 1Ride through forest, through river and along valley to meet Land Rover for lunch for two overlooking Evretou reservoir. Ride through villages onto the Akamas peninsula.Candlelit dinner for two in tipi. Stay in tipi. Day 2Ride to Lara Bay where the turtles lay their eggs. Lunch on the beach. Afternoon ride across the Akamas with spectacular views. Stay in tipi with candlelit dinner for two. Day 3Ride across the Akamas and goat grazing country, through villages to lunch at the reservoir and back to the stables via the deserted Turkish villages, abandoned in 1974. Enjoy the wonderful views over the valleys and marvel at the clear view of the join between the African and Eurasian tectonic plates and volcanic, fir clad mountains of the Troodos massif.
