You can also combine your holidays with some volunteering work at Arktouros centre  for the protection of the Greek brown bear (Ursus arctos) and wolf (Canis lupus). There are no additional charges and you can stay for as long as you wish if your application is approved. Volunteers are involved, according to their capabilities, to various activities such as the welcoming or tour of guests, helping in feeding the animals or even in cleaning tasks. You will share a traditional built house with other volunteers (8 in each house) while all amenities are nearby. A great educational experience for all.
